Frequently Asked Questions

1)    Are you a Professional Photographer?

No, photography is my hobby and has been so for the last 8+ years.  I don't do any work for commercial purposes or financial gain, it is purely a leisure interest that I thoroughly enjoy from being creative to meeting new and interesting people.  I am completely self taught and don't have any formal photography training or qualifications, however I have learn something new from each and every shoot that I have done.

2)    What are you looking for in Model e.g. looks, figure etc?

I do not have a hard and fast set of criteria to which the models that I work with have to conform.  I believe that the human and in particular the female form is the most beautiful of forms.  It is such because of its numerous variations and the fact that everyone isn't made from the same 'standard mould'.  I hope through my photography to celebrate this diversity, so whether size 6 or size 26, 4'6" or 6'4", dark or fair, toned or curvy...............I believe we are all beautiful in our own way.

3)    Do I have to pay you for a shoot or do you pay me?

No, there is no exchange of money from either party to the other.  I do all of my shoots on a Time for CD (TFCD) basis, whereby both I and the model give up our time for free and we share the results from the shoot for our own personal portfolios.  The main objective being that both the model and I gain experience from the shoot and hopefully we produce images that we are both pleased with as a result of it.

4)    Do you publish your work anywhere?

I don't currently publish my work anywhere other that the images that you see in my Sample Portfolio on this Website and my contact pages of some other photography sites to which I subscribe.

5)    What locations do you use for shoots?

I have a strong preference for working with natural light and natural backdrops and hence do most of my shoots in outdoor locations.  Whilst I wish for the model to be the focal point of the image I really like the varied colours and textures that location shoots bring to my work, combined with natural light.

6)    What styles of photography for you concentrate on?

I mainly work in the following styles / genres: Glamour, Swimwear, Lingerie, Implied topless / nude, topless and art nude.  All in natural settings which might include, countryside, woodland, costal areas, lakes, rivers, industrial and ancient ruins.

7)    Do you electronically edit / airbrush images?

No, I endeavor to capture the moment as accurately and truly as I possible can.  Hence aside from cropping, resizing and occasionally minor 'touching up' I tend not to electronically edit images to any great extent.  I want to celebrate natural beauty!

8)    Can I bring someone with me to the shoot?

Absolutely, you are very welcome to bring someone with you to any shoot that we might arrange.  The only thing I ask is that the person you bring is completely aware of the nature of shoot and is fully supportive of you doing the shoots e.g. no jealous boyfriends or friends please!

9)    What are the age limit of models that you work with?

All models have to be at least 18 years of age and will be required to provide photographic ID (i.e. Driving License or Passport) as proof of age at the time of a shoot.  Sorry there are absolutely NO exceptions to this rule.

In respect to upper age limit, there isn't really one.  Beauty is subjective and in the 'eye of the beholder' and hence I don't feel the need to put an upper age limit on the models that I am prepared to consider working with.

10)    Do you work with Male models?

Yes, I haven't worked extensively with Male models in the past, but i am more than happy to consider doing so.

11)    Do you work with couples or two or models together?

Yes. I have been asked in the past by models if I would do a shoot with them and their partner or friend.

12)    Can you help get me a 'break' in the modeling industry, introduce me to other contacts or give me advice on how to be successful in this area?

No I am afraid I can't help you at all in any of these respects.  As above, this is purely a hobby for me, I do not work in the industry and consequently do not have a network of contacts or the knowledge to be able to assist in anyway.
